The construction will address problems of carrying capacity, shortage of classrooms and staff offices. The three High Rise buildings each comprising of twelve suspended floors.
This project will facilitate continuing education that will include but not limited to, degree credit courses by non-traditional students, non-degree career training, college remediation, workforce training and formal personal enrichment courses.
The present Medical Centre was built in 1986 with a six bed spaces to accommodate less than 3,000 students. The population of students has risen to over 20,000. Apart from this, the college has been given the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) status making it mandatory to have full complement of modern hospital.
The prevailing increase in the student population of the college has brought about the need to provide more accommodation facilities for the students to replace the existing old and dilapidated one storey block.
The Epe campus was conceived to solve the problem of space on the metropolitan campus at Yaba. The development of Epe campus is ongoing in terms of road network, drainage and services, Faculty Buildings, Laboratories and Workshop, Hostels, Staff Quarters, Medical Centre, Staff Schools etc.
The new Student Affairs building is proposed to replace the existing old dilapidated one storey block that has been in existence since inception of the College.
